SAFTU WILL MARCH WITH NUPSAW TO THE OFFICE OF THE PREMIER OF NORTH WEST TO DEMAND PERMANENT EMPLOYMENT OF EPWP WORKERS

The South African Federation of Trade Unions (SAFTU) will form part of the protest organised by its public service affiliate, the National Union of Public Service and Allied Workers (NUPSAW), to demand:

1. the extension of current EPWP workers’ contract by further 12 months as an interim arrangement while both parties (EMPLOYER & NUPSAW) facilitate the appointment and placement of all EPWP workers into permanent funded posts, and
2. the permanent employment of all current EPWP workers.
